Re: Not everybody likes Rics
I forgot to mention that our band consists of 1 acoustic guitar and me on bass. Alan you hit the nail on the head. When she moved in 6 years ago I tried to have a neighborly relantionship with her but she wouldn't have any part of it. I figured she was just one of those people who doesn't want to ...

Re: Not everybody likes Rics
Scott, your commentary: Remind them how loud you could be made me laugh outloud. I think I was driving at that by playing in the courtyard! Joey, I do have a smaller practice amp 15w that I turn up to 1 (oMG) that was two loud too! I guess I should have figured that a 100w amp at 1 would be too loud ...

Not everybody likes Rics
Well I got my first non-compliance letter. Apparently my neighbors don't like music or I really suck. I have ten days to comply. It's not like were playing at midnight. It's more around 11 am to 2 or 4. Oh well, I guess it's time to move because I can't forsee a future without playing. BTW we have ...

Re: Got Rick!
What a gorgeous bass! and little girl. I rock a new 2008 MG. I use to think the fender p-bass was my dream bass. (I played a friends back in the 80's) It was like butter. But compared to the Ric there is no contest. Congrats!

Re: We're not Worthy!!!
:D IT's ok Tom, I instinctly knew what you meant. As far as the younger Beck. I agree he is very talanted. Matter of fact I work with 20 something males and there where talking about Beck and of course me being the middle-aged foggie I am leap into the conversion as if they were talking about Jeff ...

Re: We're not Worthy!!!
I got Tal's CD. It is awesome. She has done a great deal of work in the fusion style. I believe she toured with Chick Corea for a year. When I saw the crossroads dvd, I too dropped my head and said I will never be as good as Tal. My wonderful husband reminded me that I was not Tal and that what I do ...

Re: New 4003 Natural color
I finally was able to take my Ric to the beach and crank the volume. (I live in an apartment and apparently my bass even at low volumes bubbles and slids through the entire complex needless to say the property manager is always knocking on my door) I was afraid that my husband's tele and my son's ...

Re: Quest for Festeroo
This is the first time we have seen it in the dvd store. I don't know if it is for sale, but you can rent it. IT is a fun movie. We also get the dewy cox walk hard. It has a lot of nice guitars in it. (Martins) But the movie it was good for about the first 45 minutes then it started to fail. Festroo ...

Quest for Festeroo
On family dvd day, We decided on a Les Claypool Film called "Electric Apricot Quest for Festroo" What a fun Movie. The first band scene all three of us yelled out he's playing a Ric. I believe it is the 4003 model. It was a delight to see. Has anyone seen the film yet?
