Re: 2013: Another Bay Area (BARC)...Again, one of these days

Unfortunately I will not be able to join the festivities later this week. My slow reply was due to looking at all the possibilities, but I just can't quite swing it time-wise due to upcoming vacation time with the family.

I hope you all have a great jingle-jangle jam!

Best,

Re: JangleBox JB2 Byrds Limited Edition

I love my original Janglebox and may have to check out the Byrds edition. Never hurts to have back-up, especially for stomp boxes. I remember one show in 1970 where I accidentally stomped on a control on my Big Muff Pi and blew the back right out of the pot.

Now that my sales territory includes Northern California, I might be able to finally make it to this event.

Re: Transonic - cool article...

If I recall correctly, the Sunn Solos was a hybrid combo with tube preamp and solid state power amp in the early 70's. At the time I thought that was backwards because of the way others were doing it. In any case, after comparing it to a used Acoustic Control 260 solid state rig with it's cool ...

Here is the Yahoo Group Paul W. started as a repository of everyone's 75th experiences, which include pictures of the tour.

Re: So Cal 2008

Previous tours of the factory have only been due to the kindness and generosity of John Hall and the wonderful people at RIC. If you think about it, there is no real incentive for RIC to open its doors. The worldwide demand for a RIC instrument remains constant. The people who would be most ...

Re: So Cal 2008

.... It could be another one-time thing announced a year or two in advance so people could plan around it. Rickenbacker fans from all over the world would certainly attend, but the numbers would be small enough to be manageable, because there are a limited number of people who can afford the time ...

Re: So Cal 2008

It would be nice, but a tour is completely out of our hands. I wasn't at the factory tour for the 75th Anniv. event either.

I understand, Paolo. I looks to me like JH reads the threads here, so I'll make a pitch.

Lots of companies have enthusiast boards like the RickResource Forum. Two others ...

Re: So Cal 2008

Hi Folks,

New to the Forum -- bought my first Rickenbacker in 1968 (a used 420 12-string FG) and have owned a couple since then. I have always wanted to visit the Rickenbacker factory. One time about 20 years ago I called the factory when I was passing through Santa Ana only to be told "no tours ...
