Try doing the middle pickup rewire to control it via the fifth knob. This gives you every combination of pickups. I did it to my 325v63 when it still had the 11k toasters and it really opened up the tone. The middle pickup just seemed to muddy up the tone overall and I can see why Lennon ...

I have just ordered a Laramie accoustic 12 string and I also have a 660/12. I recently read an owners report where he suggested the 12 string acoustic neck felt wider than the 1 5/8's listed on the Ric site. Maybe someone can clarify this
Here is one item but I think i read it in another where the ...

This is a good illustration why non Americans get so frustrated not being able to buy from within America over the internet. This is a resonably well stocked dealer but his knowledge of Rics is sadly lacking. The internet provides us with access to a ton of information. Through newsgroups like this ...

warning warning warning
Re Ed Romans alteration. Do a search on here and read up on it.

Other than that the Dakota seems to get great reviews for its playability. Its not going to be a Les Paul though, its not meant to be. Theres been a lot of posts here about the sound from the Ric humbuckers.

Well I have just changed my plans a little. A couple of months ago I put my name down for one of the 380lpz's that Mike Parks had on order thinking that I needed a lead guitar. In my band I am lead vocals, rhythmn guitar and, increasingly, keyboards. I get to play lead on a coupel of songs. I ...

In a recent interview I read Tom said he rarely plays his rics at all now live, prefering his LA Guitarworks custom tele.
I'm sure the vintage guitars are used for recording tho.

I bought my 660/12 over the net from Wildwood Guitars in the States and my 325v63 from Hits Guitars in Japan. The 660/12 was shipped Fedex and got to NZ in 3 days however the local Fedex people got it bogged down in red tape for another 4 days. The 325v63 was shipped with UPS and got here from Japan ...

I bought my 660/12 from Bruce at Wildwood Guitars back in November. I can't speak highly enough of them. Very good to deal with.
Their online presentation of their guitars is second to none

I ordered my 380lpz in January but Mike Parks had preordered it in September. He also has orders for them outstanding from May and in another forum there was a guy that cancelled out after ordering in March last year. I'm hoping that the next batch of 380lpz's will fill all current orders but it ...

Ouch. Thats a pretty nasty thing for Ed to say given that he promotes the modification on his website. I have recently ordered a 380LPZ but before I finally made the decision I was VERY close to doing exactly what did.

Hi Pam,
I would love some pictures. As you note the NZ dollar has climbed almost 50% against the Greenback in the last 2 years but I would have thought that would increase their returns, not diminish them. Its also making Ric's cheaper!!!

I'd love to have some photo's, please email them to ...
