I am told that the RT195 designation is for the proprietary part, that this transistor was made by or for Rickenbacker (it's an RT, or "Rickenbacker Transistor"). Which would explain why it isn't made anymore.

But that doesn't help me know if some other transistor would work in its place. Will try ...

I'm not sure what it is--I asked the guy at the repair show this morning what I'm looking for, and he said an rt195 transistor. I asked him if that's all I need to know, and he said yes. But now I'm beginning to think I need to know more. Will check tomorrow and see what else he can tell me. Thanks ...

I see on another topic that transistors for these amps are hard to find. Does anyone know where I can get an RT 195??????

I saw your note on the RickResource.com page about your TR35 bass amp. I've got one, too, with the power amp transistor blown, and my repair guy says that they don't make the right transistors anymore and he can't find one anywhere.

So, what's the deal with this power amp module ...
