The Guitar Center I used to go to actually had about 5 Ricks last time I went, four of them being basses. But none were new, all used. Mostly late 70's-80's stuff, except the guitar was a '66. Nice, but overpriced. I actually got my 360 there almost a year ago, new. Since then, I haven't seen a new ...

Chris, let me know about the Bassdrive. I'm currently looking for a bass overdrive. I would love an old Shin-Ei Companion Fuzz, but they are VERY difficult to find.

Rudy's is nice, but they're jerks in there. They have lots of high end stuff, and are kind of uppity about it. I bought an Orange 2x12 cab from them, as they are the only Orange dealer in NYC.

John- The Boss PS-3 has become a really sought after pedal in the last year or so. Besides doing simple pitch shifting and delay, it also does a little harmonization and also does some really weird "shimmery" ascending type effects, I don't know how else to describe them really. Most peopl...

From what I understand there's only been one BBR delivered, to the forumite who posted in the bass section. He got the 4003 that was displayed at NAMM.

They are? Hah!

Well, is there a major tonal difference between the toaster and the hi-gains on bass? One of my ricks would be strung with flats and one with rounds, so I assume the toasters would respond better with the flats?

Sorry for asking so many questions!

Can I buy new replacement Toasters for bass? I've only seen the guitar ones around.

Also, i've heard Bartolini's mentioned often around here, what's the deal with them?

So, what are my pickup options?

I'm really GASing for a new 4003. A Blue Boy, to be exact. But here's the problem: I need all my guitars/basses to be different. What I mean is, I don't like to have 2 guitars with the same pickup configuration. If I got a BB Rick, i'd be neglecting one of them, because they'ed both pretty much be t...

I'm bringing my 4003 in for a setup in a little while (Long needed/deserved), and I've decided that i'm going to have the pickup cover put back on. When I get the bass in March 2002, I had it removed immediatley, because I was playing fingerstyle and I thought it would get in the way. Now however, i...

I started on bass 5 years ago, have always messed around on guitar but got serious in the last year. Of course, now I miss playing bass in a band.

My Sterling bass is AWESOME, IMO one of the best production basses out there. I honestly don't understand why so many people go for the Stingray before the Sterling.
