It's now out of my range. =(

John, you wouldn't consider any kind of trade or trade/cash, would you?

Please? =)

I'm pretty sure that Susanna herself would've gotten #1. I think he was just trying to show the scarcity of it.

Lawton, i've never played or heard one either, i'd be more then willing to buy and take my chances on her though. It really is a beautiful instrument, and I know I dig the sound of the toasters, so I reckon there'd be no problem.

That's my dream Rick right there. I may make a serious run at this, I don't care what the condition is. How often do you see one at $800 with no bids?

If you're willing to make the trek on the Staten Island Ferry, Mandolin Bros. is one of the best guitar stores in NYC. Primarily acoustic/bluegrass instruments, they do have a nice selection of high end electrics. Right now they have a 360/12CW, a Mapleglo 360/12, a Fireglo 360/12, and a Fireglo 400...

Boy do I feel dumb right now...I've been playing a Rick bass for 3 years now and always just assumed those wheels had something to do with adjusting the action or something!

I have always loved Paul's "muted" tone, but I never heard of an acutal Rick mute until I came to this site. Can someone explain what it is? Is it like those mutes that came with old Fender Jaguar guitars?

If you're gonna take a trip to 48th Street, prepare to be gravely let down. Sam Ash is usually a complete madhouse and Rudy's has some beautiful stuff - unfortunatley, the staff are a bunch of...not nice guys. Track down Matt Umanov Guitars and 30th Street guitars, both better bets then the chaos on...

This GC is the one closest to me. I've played this bass a few times. They have four used Ricks there, all heavily overpriced. One has been HEAVILY modded with new pickups, etc...

The Janglebox is probably best, but any kind of compression will get you closer to THAT tone.

This was posted by a member at Birds and Moons PRS forum, thought some of you might like to see it: There has always been trouble between GC & Ricky. There were rumblings of this when I first started there 4-1/2 years ago & there were still rumors 1-1/2 years ago when I left. Strangely enoug...
