360 Blue/White
I saw a kid playing a 360 at the Lager House the other night that I first took for white, but it was had a baby blueish tint. he case was the poly RIC case. Didn't get the year but it was a 24 fretter. I don't see this color available on the Ricenbacker site. What color would this be. The guitar ...

Re: 1966 Rickenbacker 360 with "upgrades".
This is exactly what was done to my 330. Yes it can be saved. Watch out for the neck though. As on mine, the amount of wood removed from the top and neck under the top to accommodate the humbucker may cause it to want to become a travel guitar. The solution is to replace the the missing wood from ...

Re: My two unique rics
Thanks paul, that 360 looks great. I am not so concerned about doing it factory. I've done mostly all the work on both these guitars so I kinda wanna do it myself. the current maple finish is clearly not a pro job so I figure I can't do much worse.

Re: Has anyone seen this???
Okay I admit it, if it was in the shop down the street I might be tempted, but then I would have to look myself in the mirror for the rest of my life. In the words of Anna to the character of Holly in the movie The Third Man. "Take a look at yourself. They have a name for faces like that" . Then ...

Re: New jetglo 650c damaged, but how?
Looks totally fixable to me. too much wood? Not sure but being a Jet Glo I think it could be patched up at RIC no problem. Worth the drive to find out.

Re: Mapleglo.
I just think comparing Gibson to Rickenbacker is unfair because Rickenbacker has to get enough maple to build a whole guitar, while Gibson slices hundreds of really thin pieces of maple out of a single nice block, then slaps it on a block of mahogany.
So, yeah, basically it's a wood supply issue ...
