Re: 5 LIGHT SHOWS 5
Said like a true crazy inventor!!! I like this out of the box thinking, and it almost seems like it would work, too... except I think that using the strings as a ground is possibly not doable. But I'm going to mock this up and if it works, it'll turn up on my prototype next! All you need is a brass...

Re: 1982 AzureGlo Rickenbacker 4001 with Grover tuners
Re the AzureGlo should an 82 4001 not have a split pickgaurd? I know my 4003 of the same year does. Also mine seems of have "somehow made it out of the factory with vintage box Grover tuners" aswell, would you credit it :) An '82 4001 would not have a twp piece pickguard. Those were only ...

Re: Had to do it
From what I've read, you should put a comment on the registry entry for the guitar that is no longer yours that says something like "No longer belongs to me" and the rest will get taken care of. You might have to send a PM to one of the admins too.

Re: What's changed while your Ric is on order?
Phantoms! My favorite, always loved that plane. I almost got to go for a ride in one when my cousin was flying them for the ANG. Couldn't find the guy with the authority to sign it off though, but I got to sit in it and pretend. Back to the subject, the biggest thing that's changed since March 2007 ...

Re: Laredos shipped!
All these 4004L's being shipped make me wish I had one of them on order instead of a 4003MG.
Oh well, I was a couple of 4003FLMG's, maybe plain old 4003MG's are coming soon...

Re: Claiming "Collected" Instruments
Perhaps this has been covered before but, since serial numbers are available in the register, how do you make sure someone doesn't just send you a serial number and claim it to be theirs when it really isn't? In the case of an instrument entered as owned by a member, you can of course, contact the m...

Re: Laredos shipped!
Great news!
I've also been watching 4003's and it seems that a bunch of 4003JG's went out this week (darn, I'm waiting on a MG).

Re: How about a history field?
Balderdash! There's never enough pictures! :!: Well, yeah, you're right. That wasn't exactly what I meant, but I see how it could be read that way. So far, I've hardly even taken it out of its case and played it! It's just too pretty. My old '76 4001 Azureglo with all it's battle scars just seems s...

Re: I have just met McCartney, held the Hofner, 59 LP, Epi
Very cool story!
Over the years I've had occasion to meet several celebrities and it always seems that the nicest, most "real people" ones are musicians. I would have had a hard time with the guitars though, I'd be too afraid of dropping one or some other silly thing...

Re: How about a history field?
By the way, CJ, What did you buy? How about posting some pictures of your new arrival in the guitars forum for all the Rick-o-porn junkies around here (including me)! Thanks for all the welcomes! Well, I suppose it'd have to go in the Bass forum since it's a 4003. I'm not sure I'm quite ready to ai...

How about a history field?
I've been reading the forum & perusing the register off and on for a few years, but just recently joined (mostly hang out on the RIC site). As sometimes happens, registered guitars get sold to others, sometimes members, sometimes not. There doesn't seem to be any automatic way to change ownershi...
