Feeling like a poser and not sure what to do
Ok folks, I haven't been here much lately and I'm looking for advice. I'm the one that has the REM ink on my arm that features Peter Buck's 360 prominently in the middle. I have felt that in order not to be such a poser that I needed a Ric, and my stupid husband planted that idea in my head. You wou...

Re: 360 kept in room with fireplace
Decided not to use the room with fireplace for the guitars. Also found out it's a real fireplace not the gas type which is quite nice.
I currently use a hygrometer which will go on the wall of the new room.
Thanks guys.

I do keep humidifiers in my acoustic cases. I guess I will with my 360 when it gets here.beatlefreak wrote:If you're concerned about dryness, keep humidifiers in your cases with the guitars. Inexpensive humidifiers can be gotten from cigar stores.
Thanks.

I too can help organize. I am quite sure I will still be Ricless by then, but I can always drool.

360 kept in room with fireplace
I am looking for a house and found one that will fit the bill. The current owner is a player and he keeps his guitars in a room that has a gas fireplace. I have already posed this question to the acoustic players that I know, do I need to be worried for my 360 if I keep it in a room with a fireplace...

Re: Finding Rickenbackers In Canada
I have had zero luck with stock at Steves here, just bad timing on my part I guess. I was there last week and the salesman told me they now only sell them through special order, no more stocking. Every one I have seen shipping to them is spoken for. Their prices are currently running 30-45% over th...

Well according to the radio this morning, this year is the first year since 1971 that it will likely be a white Christmas from BC to Newfoundland as the whole country is blanketed with snow.

Re: The Continuing Saga of "Rickenbacker in the Heartland"
Well, I would imagine a number of folks have probably jumped ship on their pre-orders as of late...either because they found something else in the meantime or because the economic situation as of late has forced them to do so. We may see more Rickenbackers in stock at retailers as a result of this....

When I ordered my 360 in September I knew that my tax return would pay it off long before it got here. So my answer is no.

Re: Underrated and Overrated
Just curious, as I saw a few posts here saying that Taylor acoustics are overrated. Can I ask what acoustics everybody likes?
Thanks

Re: The Continuing Saga of "Rickenbacker in the Heartland"
Jim,
I was gonna join the camp that said to dump your order and just buy one from another dealer now. However, now that you gave the pricing update, I would be more inclined to stick with your order.
I sincerely hope that my 360/6 does not arrive before your 360/12.
Keep hanging in.
Lynda
