Re: Fitting a 12 string set of strings

I did the same for the first time a couple of weeks ago...........I waited until my McGuinn video arrived. He goes through it step by step and makes it easy to follow. First thing he says is to not clip the strings off at once.......man, the guitar sounds awesome with fresh strings!!

Thanks for all the tips and encouragement......a little different and slower than stringing my guild 12-string but I guess my speed will improve with time!! Re: Ready to string my 620/12....any advice??

Re: First Rickenbacker........620-12 LOVE IT!!!

Thanks for the kind welcome and compliments on the guitar!! As far as the strings go, the just feel sloppy so it may the age (they are the ones that came with the guitar). Any recommendations as to the best gauge for this guitar? I think I will stick with Rickenbacker strings........

First Rickenbacker........620-12 LOVE IT!!!

Just wanted to share a pic of my very first Rickenbacker - bought used but not abused! Plays great even though I think I need new strings since these ones feel very loosy goosy and are difficult to keep in tune. But the sound and feel of a Rickenbacker is unique..........my other expensive hobby is ...
