I just used a silver sharpie to label the jacks.

I don't have a Gibson but I did get an Epi Pro IV. very nice bass for the money and it's head and shoulders above the standard Epi bolt on. fit and finish are excellent. I did have some issues with the pickups but Gibson took care of it under warranty. well worth the extra money compared to the ...

when I bought my 4003, the bridge had the mod you're asking about. this is the only pic I have of the bridge at the moment, hope it helps you in some small way.
