I'm sure you've found someone by now but I've had Jimmy set up all of my Ric's over the years. I do it myself now. Not sure if he's doing the work himself anymore though.

I used to do that with my jetglo basses. Pickguard, TRC, were always switched to black.
But...somebody out there has my factory blacked out 1991 fretless.
I regret selling that bass almost every day.
