Oh yeah, if you find one of the 380 PZ bridge/saddles/preamp snatch it up, you probably wont find another any time soon. JH already said they wont be available through RIC back when they dissed the 380...

I've considered modifying a graphtech tune-o-matic GHOST system to do this. https://estore.graphtech.com/gti/aquarius/brands.asp Also thought about using a pick-up the world film transducer under the saddles of a slightly modified Ric bridge. http://www.pick-uptheworld.com/pickups.htm Haven’t had th...

you dont need to have 2 jacks for the option of stereo or mono. Get a smartjack and you can have both. stick a mono plug in and the stero shank is shorted out routing both signals through the mono cord. Put a stereo cord in and you get 1 signal per channel. I used to have one on my Dakota for the pi...

Welcome!

Given my experience with roman's "custom" shop, I would suggest you seek someone more down to earth.

I see you're near NY City, others will probably be able to recommend a better luthier in your area.

Ill bet it was, talk about a good life experience. So, using the Hotrods - do I need to worry about them applying pressure to the back of the fretboard? There's no such thing as too strong unless you work in the aeronautical industry. but I only meant the CF to transfer the truss rod load into the n...

After some googling, I was unable to find any rectangular CF tubing. Let alone one that has inside dim ~7/32 X 7/16.

I could use something in a C-channel shape, any ideas on material?

I dont want to resort to anything other then wood glue to attach the fretboard incase I have to remove it.

well a quick Google and it appears that pure zinc's annealing temp is below rm temp. ~50 degrees F. Theoretically this means it cant be strain hardened (assuming its reasonably close to pure) and that you have nothing to worry about. On the other hand judging form the data you presented (pictures) I...

Hey, Just joing the fun. Have you popped that sucker in the oven periodicaly? The internal strain can somewhat be alleviated if you can figure out the annealing temperature. On the other hand, if you randomly choose a temp you may "age" it into a more brittle material. Annealing doesnt rev...
