Found this lovely one on the local C/L. Looks like a steal.

Re: McGuinn at Queen Mary - 8/13/10
I've seen RM at various times in my long, long concert going life. His mouthpiece these days is his dear wife Camilla.
He's seen and heard it all, been burned by the usual and much longer than the normal career. He, like us all, has his
moments, and tries to protect his privacy, rightly so, at his ...

Re: McGuinn in Denver 7/24
Robert,
I started my self taught guitar listening to the Kingston Trio, Brothers Four, McGuire and the Minstrels, P P and M and
the rest of the late 50's early 60's stuff. I can appreciate what he is doing, and even though I go to see his playing and
singing/story telling, I still cannot believe ...

Re: McGuinn in Denver 7/24
Well, the show was excellent. Very predictable but it does'nt matter,
because his voice is crystal clear, guitar work as good or better than
ever. This guy just does not disappoint. Not much Ric work, I think
he's tiring of it. He definitely prefers acoustic work on the Martin 7
string. Camilla was ...

Re: McGuinn in Denver 7/24
Hi Mark,
Yes, she initially politely refused as well, but I offered $100 donation to a charity of
their choice. She again said no, explaining, RM stopped because of the time and
seeing them on ebay for resale. I politely said I understood, and I guess she had
a change of heart. She's a very good ...

McGuinn in Denver 7/24
Going to see RM on this Sat night @8PM at the L2 Theatre in Denver.
Saw him in the fall of '08 in Golden, convinced Camilla to get a signed
p/g for my 330/12. Never enough of RM for me.

Re: Kent Armstong toasters
Greg thanks,
Yes, I do have that option as I have a set of toaster covers if I had decided to convert my
hi-gains but I don't know, are Jason's pickups a good alternative? They are'nt cheap. I can
wait for availability, if that is an issue with Ric. I'm in no hurry. The hi-gains just don't
do it for ...

Re: Kent Armstong toasters
Eden,
Thanks for the reply. I did'nt look closely at the ad when I ordered them. Seemed too
good to be true, price and availablity wise. I want to keep my 330/12 true to it's
name, and am going to buy a set of real toasters from RIckenbacker soon. The K/A's
can definitely pass for real, looks wise ...

Kent Armstong toasters
By mistake, I ordered a set of K. Armstong repop toasters from a British shop. I don't know
if they are good/bad but am not going to use them as they are not Rickenbacker and I am going to replace the higains on my 330/12
with the Rick ones. It's a shame, cause they look like good quality pups, well ...
