Actually, it pre-dates the Highway Companion tour by at least a year. Tom was playing it on the previous tour for the same 1 song - "You Wreck Me", and also tuned down a half-step. It's definitely old, because you can see the wear and tear. It looks just like Steve Cropper's '59 Esquire, but I guess ...

The Mudcrutch documentary was very nice. Much of it is from the "Runnin' Down A Dream" DVD, but there are some additional things in there like the recording sessions and a clip at the end where they're on stage during that mini-tour in California. Sure wish I could have seen one of those shows.

A lot of people don't like that 1985 tour because of the horn section and the "Rebelettes" backgound singers. I personally DO like that tour, but my favorite might be the Echo tour. I loved that record, and they played most of during the tour. Since that tour, they've rarely played any of it. The ...

I was just watching the bootleg video from San Francisco on this last tour, and Tom seemed to go to his Esquire quite a bit. It's a blonde, rosewood fretboard, 8 screw white pickguard. Anybody have details on this particular guitar?
