Also on a short documentary called "RAK Them Out" (now on youtube, it seems that it's gonna be an extra for the deluxe version of the CD) you can spot Gem with a 450 (I'm not sure!), 4001v63 (or an original RM 1999???) and the 330/12!

Re: 4003S/8 in the studio
Thanks! I'm experimenting with remixing the audio.
Can I ask you a question - what kind of speakers were you listening with? I think the mix is OK on headphones or good speakers, but it really doesn't pop out on just computer speakers. I'm thinking of putting the bass signal through my Alembic SF ...

Congratulations! Greta videos
Can I ask you how have you recorded the bass? What effect do you use? You have a perfect Chris Squire sound.

Re: 350v63 players - what gauge strings are you using?
I'm using TI flatwound 11's - I get a lot of buzzing with anything lighter, even after extensive set-up time.
Chris at POTR suggetsed the TI's and they seem to do the trick, which also really captures the "I Feel Fine" sound.

Re: 350v63 players - what gauge strings are you using?
Hi everyone!
I'm a proud owner of a wonderful Rickenbacker 350v63 JG, that I've bought last spring (My first RIC!!!!!!! :D ).
I had few time to play it and know that I'd like to play it more so I had to choose new strings.
On my other guitars (USA Strato and Epi LP) I use Ernie Ball 48-11, and I'd ...

Re: Recording my Ric
The first step is to download Audacity and buy a good USB sound device. When you'll have enough experience you shall move to something more professional, but don't hurry, with Audacity you can do fine recordings!

Re: 4001C64
mmmm I would love to be the owner of a 4001 c64 Fg, but with the shipping (to Italy), duties & taxes it wouldn't be a cheap business
