Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
Thank you both. I tried reaching out to Mark. Hopefully it's a current contact and he gets my inquiry. Why does it have to be so difficult, Rickenbacker! Your poorly made tailpieces are exploding all over the place and you make it impossible to get a replacement. Having to pay to fix the flaw is bad...

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
Me thinks that if Rickenbacker couldn't make this part without well known chronic self destructing, then you couldn't trust a fake from abroad. Hence my original reason for posting. Now if you have a Rickenbacker, and the "R" tailpiece explodes, you are screwed because the company won't ta...

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
What year guitar? 6 or 12? The holes on the R bracket changed at some point too in the 70's or 80's, I can't remember when. If you can do a tracing of what you need, scan and email, I'll look through my parts bin and see if I have one. Wow!! Well, this is a 12 string and it was made in 1966...

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
Thank you Maxwell. Since this is a vintage 1966 instrument, I do not want to go drilling new holes, etc. I don't want to use the Winfield bracket at all now because I feel that the physics of the way the original "L" bracket of the "R" tailpiece almost "hooks" the butt ...

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
Well, I heard back from Winfield. He said that he has not changed the bracket design and suggests the difference in height is because Rickenbacker;s original brackets weren't consistent back then so the screw hole positioning could be different over time. He believes that the height has nothing to d...

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
What? I am not aware of this... I only see a right hand, left hand, and black version on this page: https://www.winfieldvintage.com/trapeze-tailpieces
Can you show me what you are talking about?

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
No, this is the trapeze tailpiece Winfield makes that is like the factory one Rickenbacker used on some 12 string guitars, except it is designed to bolt on without drilling any new holes or other modification to fit. The original factory trapeze mounting has holes in different places than the factor...

Re: PLEASE - Help Me!
Thank you for the replies. Yes, I have reached out to Rickenbacker and they won't reply back. Horrible customer service. I tried Pick Of The Ricks and they can't get them any more since Rickenbacker is not sending any out. So it seems that if you own a Rickenbacker, and the "R" tailpiece b...

PLEASE - Help Me!
As long as I can remember, I've dreamed of having a Rick 12 string. When that dream finally came true, I was so happy until the "R" tailpiece exploded like so many do! Now I feel like I have a useless guitar because you can't get the "R" tailpiece any longer. I tried the Winfield...

Re: Guitar porn thread
Hey, this is my first post here! Pictured is a '66 Rickenbacker 330/12 and a little artillery named Marshall.
