ORAC '09--Hamilton or Toronto?

Okay, step one. Let's figure out which in city to hold the event. If you choose the other option, please specify where in your post. I've set the poll up to run for a week. So, as they say, vote early, vote often.

Re: Toronto get together??

We need to firm up a location--Hamilton or Toronto. I'll start a new thread later on tonight with a poll. We also need to get a handle on some of the numbers so we can find a space. I'm wondering if a bar or similar venue might be more manageable than trying to squeeze twenty of us into a practice r...

Re: Toronto get together??

Ok... The Who. I can do: I CAN'T EXPLAIN, SUBSTITUTE, or I CAN SEE FOR MILES... All classic who tunes.. Ok... Just looking at the calander here.... How does Saturday June the 6th sound to everyone? Say late afternoon... so that after jamming for a bit we can go grab beer and chicken wings somewhere...

Re: Toronto get together??

Could we meet in the middle? Say, Oakville or Burlington? Anyone know of any rehearsal spaces in these communities?

That being said, I'm in for a get together where-ever. I'd certainly be in for a small session at Lou's.

Should we be thinking of a song list?

Re: Pick survey...

I too will use whatever I can get for free from a guitar salesman, but I REALLY like these a lot now and am trying to stick strictly to them: http://www.catomusic.co.uk/images/Dunlop/412R73.jpg Especially for 12-string. Mmm mmm mmm. The pointy tip is great. I was going to get a big bag of them with...

Re: The Prodigal Rickenbacker returns!

Your story could be a Dickensian epic--if Dickens wrote about guitars :D . Truly awesome. The history of that guitar will be tied into everything you play with it. Seems like the perfect inspiration for a Hamilton Confluence.

Re: Confluence FAQ

Betcha' can't own just one  So true. I've had my Ric (Fireglo 360/6) for two weeks now, and I'm already trying to figure out how to buy the Mapleglo 350V63 taunting at my local shop. My next purchase, though, will probably be a twelve string. As a newbie, you're expected to bring the beer....

Confluence FAQ

As a new Ric owner, I am intrigued by the Confluence phenomena. After wading through forum, I think I get the idea as to what these are and generally how they work. However, a FAQ sticky might be helpful. Something that provides a list of what all the different acronyms stand for--it took me a while...
