I have a C63 (Jetglo) and used to own a late '90s 330-12. Regarding the "feel," in highly technical terms: the C63 is easier to play and chord than my 330-12 was. I *think* the strings may be further apart on the C63 but I don't know that for sure -- they feel further apart.

Mine came with a six ...

Come to think of it, I think the finish on my c63 is a bit on the dark side too.

Thanks -- I'll swap out the vintage part for the Ric-Schaller-compatible part. I appreciate the help.

Thanks for the responses. The problem is, the gauge of the vintage strap button that's currently on the c63 is much larger than the gauge for a screw that will fit through the Schaller strap-lock button. I suppose I could fill the hole but was looking for other options.

360/12c63 Straplock Question

Got my JetGlo 360/12c63 last week (what happened to the C Series threads?). Love the guitar in every respect but I wasn't expecting the strap buttons to also be vintage as well, i.e., not the ones that are compatible with the Schaller strap-lock system. The screws for the Schaller strap-lock buttons ...

"This one sounds, feels and plays different as well."
JW - thanks for the info about where you got it. I saw this guitar on the Guitarville site but I already have a JG on order through The Rickenbacker Page.

So, how does it sound, feel, and play differently than your 360/12?

I'm curious too. I talked to someone at Ed's shop yesterday and they said they offer the Union Jack paint job as a separate service. The price is $1000.00. Funny, the guy I talked to didn't hesitate for a second when I asked how much, as if someone calls every other day asking about this. Perhaps ...

Union Jack 330

There's a picture of a Ric 330 with the Union Jack on the front on Ed Roman's web site (google: "Union Jack Rickenbacker"). Does anyone know whether Ric will do this paint job for any dealer or is it a special order only available from Ed Roman?

Bob beat me to this; he's right. Because they are, by their own admission, in breach, they are bound to cover any reasonable difference in price if you have to pay more, whether you get a replacement from them or from someone else in the market. Keep notes about what new 370/12 FGs there are in the ...

I wonder what the warranty situation would be even if you did get the guitar back. If she registered it, Rickenbacker may not honor a warranty claim, assuming you had to make one, which is probably unlikely. Still, that would be a further basis for a refund if you did get the guitar back.

If you ...
