you'll need a line-in on your soundcard (most stock cards at the very least have an 1/8th inch "mic" input. of course they sound like hangovers feel) or a s/pdif digital input. if you don't have the line input, or you'd like to try it with the s/pdif, soundcards come in pci cards or outboard boxes ...

M-Audio interfaces do not have Focusrite preamps. The original MBox had these "preamps" which were not much more than a combo connector and a chip that said "Focusrite" somewhere inside.
