Of course, we'll be very, very sad when he passes -- and I hope it's not for a few more decades. But with respect to his performance at the Grammy's - his voice is gone. Vocals on Fine Line, Helter Skelter & Yesterday were terrible. Hey look, the band was awesome and Paul is a great bassist. I love ...

I've been a huge fan of Macca's for over 35 years. He's influenced everything I've done -- even down to my Hofner & 4001c64s basses. With that said, I feel he is so over-cooked right now. In my humble opinion, he was DREADFUL on the Grammys. Truly, truly embarrassing. He has lot his beautiful voice ...

Yes, there are snippets of additional film footage on some of the bootleg copies of Let it Be on Ebay. I think that I have an extra half hour on my DVD, however it's very poor quality.

In one of the scenes John & Yoko are looking at the paper, page by page to check coverage of themselves. Also ...

I also think it's one of the best pics of Lennon that I've ever seen -- plus one that hasn't been shown over and over.

Steve,

I thoroughly enjoy the humor on this forum. I'd rather read the funny stuff here than deal with the flaming posts of other forums.

Yes, I am definitely a she! Thank you all for the welcome - I've been keeping up with all of the forum topics pretty regularly and sometimes post here or there in the bass section (new owner of 4001c64s). I love everyone's attitude and enthusiasm.

I have to laugh when I look at the Sgt. Pepper ...

Sgt Pepper Costumes

I'd like to know if any other forum members have had a Sgt. Pepper costume made for them and what the costs/problems (if any) were...I've had a local seamstress quote me $1500 for one suit -- I don't know but this seems like a lot.

Any advice or recommendations of costume makers/ seamstresses ...

The black Get Back book has mostly pictures but also has the transcript of an interview with the Beatles. The first set of interview text is 14 pages and the last set towards the end of the book is 6 pages.

Hope this helps...

Info on Paul's Ric

I'm not sure that this website/article has been posted in the Beatles forum but after reading the majority of posts, I couldn't find it. Apologies in advance if it has been previously discussed.

This site has some interesting info on Paul's Rickenbacker and a report from the technician who ...

Craig,
I got my bass last Monday, so it could have very well been the last one. The Musicians Friend site shows that they'll be back in stock on 9/20. Hmmm...

I was shocked that the 4001c64s was available -- I kept waiting for them to tell me, "Whoops, we really don't have it in"...like they did ...

Thank you guys for all of your advice & insight. I'm leaning towards buying a set of the Chromes & the Pyramids and trying them out.

It's nice not to be a lurker anymore!

New 4001C64S

I just received my 4001c64s from Musicians Friend this week and I absolutely love it! I really didn't think that I needed another bass, but boy I really love this one.

Question - I would like to replace the strings on it with flatwounds. I've read several of the threads in this forum and there ...
