Re: Searchers DVD

Roy, believe me, the main reason is the cost.

If a company decsides to promote a DVD of The Searchers,(weither it's a biogrpahy with new and old footage, or just a straight issue of mid sixties clips) get it in stores, run ads for it, many people would buy. Problem is, this costs two or even three ...

Re: Searchers on youtube

What is stopping a major DVD release is mainly the costs. First, the rights to the video has to be paid, then the rights for the audio, then the video has to get final clearances, so if it's not a major release, such as a Searchers compilation DVD, no-one has that kind of money. The price would be ...

Re: Searchers on youtube

Ah, the wonder of Youtube. Thanks to Roy for his comments. I am the "sterling young man" he speaks of. Formerly BobbyveeFan, I had over 300 videos until they kicked me off for a measly 3 videos that infringed copyright. I'm back on again, as VeeFan1963, although I only did it because many people ...

Re: botv10

For me-

1
2
4
3

I don't really care for the song that much in the first place, although the one I am most familar with (V.1) was done beautifully, I am also somewhat familiar with version 4, but I can't stand version 3. Guess it's because it sounds to new!

2 (I know who this is!!)
1
3
4 (this sounds like a member of my favorite band, I'm pretty sure this isn't who I think it is, but the nasal style is the same as the person I'm thinking of).

Version 2 is the one I'm most familar with, and in my view, the best.

Could have been a Searchers song....

This one sounds like a Searchers single the boys could have put out, around early 66. Just imagine Mike and Chris dueting on this!!

Scroll down a bit to find the song that is titled "Hellions-Tomorrow Never Comes". Think all you Searchers fans will enjoy listening to ...

Neil Sedaka

Think you guys might find this one interesting:

Neil Sedaka recorded the vocals on the demo as a favor to Helen Miller and Howard Greenfield, who wrote the song. Sedaka loved the song, and wanted to release it as a single. However, his contract with RCA stated that all his recordings had to be ...

Link is dead now, because YTube took the video down. I did however, use a portion of the performance in these two Searchers videos I made:

Hey guys,

First time post, long time reader. Big fan of Bobby Vee and The Searchers....in fact, some of you may remember me on Youtube under the name "BobbyVeeFan", I had well over 300 vids uploaded until they kicked me off for infringing copyright. Anyway, here are my choices...

Version 3 ...
