Re: 4004 L Bow Issues

Ok so I'm still workin on this 4003 I got and I got it used and whoever had it before me treated it like shiza! In all likeliness he's just lost his voice with age. But that brings up the question, when is it ...

Re: Body Flexing question

ok thanks it sounds like its coming from where the neck meets the body, but I cant really tell what is making the noise. I wont trip on it unless it becomes a problem (like godforbid it breaks!)

Body Flexing question

Hey Paul, I noticed with my 4003 that when I grab the horn and pull slightly one way and push the neck in the opposite with equal pressure, I hear a small popping noise. Is that bad?

Re: your live set-up

Wow all this great gear! I feel kinda sheepish posting, but I pretty much just keep it simple for myself, I use:

'02 4003/JG
2x Gallien Krueger 1001RB
2x Ampeg SVT-410HLF
Shure SLX Wireless System
DBX 160a Compressor

Re: A BIG Thank you to Paul for this!

Thanks longboard! In regards to fixing the chips, I think Im just going to live with them. I'm very happy with the result I got from rubbing and buffing and waxing it up and I believe the chips just add character. I'm not a very picky player when it comes to nut width, or neck thickness and unless ...

Re: A BIG Thank you to Paul for this!

thanks howard! I have another question for Paul though. Now I need to tackle gouges and chips. even though I got a great black shine to it, there are still some grooves left behind by the more severe scratches that are too deep to just rub out. I dont know if you can see the 6 small chips on the ...
