Thanks for the advice I have checked the frets on the rickenbacker although I have some little issues with some bit not being perfect on it things like fret are perfectly straight and very well done .
I am posting because I have just found something rather interesting . I use to play with a 0.88mm ...

Re: New strings new problems on a 4003 ( help for settings)
I barely get any buzz when playing with fingers even hard.
With a pick I get buzzes especialy the two middle strings. I have to play really soft not to get any buzzes

Re: Help needed on a 4003 choices
Hi and thank you again
I'll try to sumarize what I have done so far to discover things .
Basicaly I have bypassed the Tecamp cab on my Rotel Ra-01 (hifi amp) and the sound is just perfect , meaning it is hifi standard I put any bass music cd's on it and it just reproduces it as it is .

Re: Help needed on a 4003 choices
Yes thank you .
I think the ABM 500 is perfect but I do believe that all my disapointement comes from the tecamp cabinet . It's a huge thing I play it in my bedroom (wich is 7m by 4m) and it's 180 liters .
When I got it I had the idea of taking it out sometimes outside ,with the idea of "if it can ...

Re: Help needed on a 4003 choices
Thanks for the replies
At the moment I am keeping it I think . I really love it's tone but only with a pick , then it's just brilliant . I tend not to use pick a lot and more my fingers it's there where really I don't like the tone . Guess that I'll probably end up with two basses one day one for ...

Re: Help needed on a 4003 choices
Sure
So that's the offset I thought was normal

And here's the actual bass taken 5min ago with my ashdown and my tecamp cabinet (the cab itself is homade)

Re: Help needed on a 4003 choices
Thanks for the reply
Well iv'e just discovered that the neck pickup poles are offset by 3-4mm to the string and so does the bridge pickup but by about 2mm will that affect my tone ?
