Re: What has happened?

And if you're Ric isn't selling? You should hang onto it. Yours is rather stunning, Petri. 8)

Thank you. You are right, Jake. It's stunning, that's one reason why I have started to think to get it back home. One is because I found out, that there are songs where 12-string Rickenbacker "jangle ...

What has happened?

I have Rickenbacker 360/12C63 on sale, but I think to get it back from the store, because no one has interest - I have started to regret the sale.

Now I have searched that model from the internet and found something odd. There is no 12C63 anywhere... no eBay, no european stores and no US stores. I ...

Re: Rick-o-sound 360/12 C63???

This may be a dumb question from a hobbyist, but I'll ask anyway...

How do you test, if you have a parallel mono or Rick-o-sound?

Re: Action on 360/12C63

I already got a high temperature Rick fever yesterday evening. My fingers are numb today ;-)

It's great feeling when you get "old" guitar back to alive. It has been in my plan, that I will put this guitar to "good shape", but it took me about year to do so. Mostly because I have other guitars that ...

Re: Strings to 360/12C63

Thank you for your reply. I have to look at those... but I find that it's quite difficult to find 12-string set for the Rickenbacker, here in Europe. :( If somebody can tell me webstore where I can find 12-string set for Rickenbacker, please tell me. Local stores here in Finland are not selling ...

Strings to 360/12C63

I need string recommendation to 360/12C63.

I just put Pyramid Gold strings to the guitar. I have never tried them. I snap two octave strings like crisp bread while playing. They snap from the headstock. It was a surprise, because I snap strings very rarely. I think I'm never gonna use those strings ...

Re: Action on 360/12C63

I look at the problem again. And the screw is long only in the bass side. Tremble screw is short. I put bridge cover to the guitar and now it is tighten with one screw. Now I'm happy. I think this guitar get a lot of playing time from now on. Action is good now and the (acoustic) sound is incredible!

Re: Action on 360/12C63

Hi, I tried to took the bridge down a bit, but then I noticed that it won't go down. The reason was, that the bridge cover has so long screws, that the bridge is not going down. I removed bridge cover and I got the guitar action lowered. Now the guitar is "playable".

Does anyone else have the ...

Re: Action on 360/12C63

One thing to remember is that if you need to raise the bridge, you should loosen the strings first to prevent stripping the threads on the bridge height adjustment screws. (It is less likely to happen when lowering the bridge.)

Thanks for the tip. I will loosen the strings anyway and try to take ...

Re: Action on 360/12C63

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, the strings are over 1 year old and factory installed (strings are still in the guitar). That's partly, since I haven't played Ric much. And that's also because of high action, I assume. The strings are about 6 mm (0.25 inch) from the fretboard, when I measure ...

Action on 360/12C63

I bought Ric 360/12C63 over a year ago. It's still has the original factory setup. When I got it, I noticed that the action is pretty high. I mean sky high compared to my other guitars. I though maybe it's a Rickenbacker feature and the strings should be up high. So I have only been playing basic ...
