Re: 4004 basses

I think it all depends on what style you are playing. I have a 4003, a 4004 Cii and a 4004L. I use them all and it really depends on what kind of bass sound I am trying to emulate.

For our Cream tribute set the 4004 Cii is amazing -- it sounds so much like Jack Bruce's humbucker Gibson sound if I ...

Re: 4004 basses

All of this sounds sweet. Are they still making them? I thought they were only cranking out 4003s.

4004 basses

So I've had 4004's in the head for the past few days. I really don't know much about them. I know they have different models; the 4004L and 4004cii, ect. Can anyone enlighten me on these basses? How much different do they sound from 4001/3 models? I guess I never really paid attention to them much ...

Ozzy interview 4001 sighting

So I just saw an interview with Ozzy Osbourne that came on after the channel 2 news. I believe it was a Nightline interview. I've seen a few of these before. They list some significant songs that influenced them. Ozzy listed a Beatles song, I think 'She Loves You', also 'Dude looks like a lady' by ...

Re: Rickenbacker 4005 lightshow

Wow. Pretty amazing. I couldn't tell from the darkness, but because of the electrics and wiring, did they just do away with the whole semi-hollow feature or just the hole/opening?

Rickenbacker 4005 lightshow

Anyone ever seen one of these before??

http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=d7j_6XM1woQ

It doesn't come in until near the end, but it's pretty interesting. Anyone here in the video? Or have another one of these basses? I can't imagine very many being made.

I went by there this afternoon; that 330/12 was looking mighty nice. It'll be a good day to the lucky one who snags it.

Re: What Color Would You Like To See?

Blue Boy and Sea Green sure are beautiful. And I personally love brick shades for fretless Rics; autumnglo, fireglo, ect.

But for a great all-around more common color I would love to see added, I'd have to give my vote to white.
