The Hartke has a warm fat bottom end with a touch of growl, were as the Black Widow is clankie and growlie with a very nice mid ...

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric

Hello

Here I am playing with a friends all girl "and one boy" singing group Borderline at a late summer music festival.

This is my 4004cii that I bought from Pick of the Ric's in June of this year.

My new 4004cii, made in 76?

Hello.

Couple of days ago I registered my 3001 and my 4004cii, I first registered my 3001 made in 76, then I registered my new 4004cii and for some reason it also seems to be made in 76  , but I do know that it was made in the 46th week of 08, I have tried to reset it by re-entering the serial ...

Re: Choosing My Next Ric

First I would like to say that I do hope you get your baby back...
I have a 4004cii and it is truly a wonderful bass, I can get it to clank, rattle, growl, and even snarl a bit, and its stock, but not for long...
If you have the opportunity to try one I would, you just never know...
good luck

Re: Playing positions and pickup selection

Having played a jazz far to long I became very use to playing pretty much in the middle using the "neck" pickup as a thumb rest, when i got a 3001 about 8 months ago the pickup was almost at the same spot so the transition was easy, but alas the neck needs some work.

So I got me a 4004cii a couple ...
