The vintage spec (57/62) pu's are nice sounding in their way, but the middle is not reverse wound, so you don't get humbucking when combined with the neck or bridge pu.
The Custom Shop aftermarket sets generally have a reverse wound middle, as do the American Standard Strats.

Re: Nice day for a photo!
Stellar collection.
Makes me pine for my old hacked up non-original 420 a previous owner butchered (but could have been restored if I'd had the patience).

Re: Looking for a small tube amp
No experience with that particular amp, but I'll just say that 18 watts in class "A" is likely to be pretty loud before you're really working it!
I had a Victoria 5112, which is a 5 watt Champ clone with a twelve inch speaker, and it could be very loud when desired.

Re: 15K TODAY
Gee, I've been here on and off for quite awhile. I'm vintage, even.
But I have a relatively small post count. And I've been on other forums as well for long periods and yet collectively am not in the same league.
I'm gonna have to honker down and start typing with more than two fingers!

Re: newbie hi-gain questions
I have a question:
Comparing the former button tops to the newer adjustable versions:
My '06 620 has the older style Hi-gains like I've experienced on previous 330's I owned.
I read here the new pickups have a different sound, and that could be attractive in some ways although I do not have any ...

Re: Accent Vibrato vs Bigsby B5
Mine had an Accent.
Hated it.
Lots of stiction.
Bigsby would be more effective if you use a trem.
Accent is better if you like being out of tune even if you don't use the trem.
Sounds harsh I guess. YMMV.

Re: The Worlds Very Best Rhythm Guitar Players
Danny Kortchmar, produces now I think but he played some GREAT rhythm guitar with Johnny Hoy and The Bluefish (from Martha's Vineyard), on their Trolling With The Hootchie record.
Really stunning little rhythm figures in the background of several songs.

Re: Your Favorite Instrumental Film Music Please
The theme music to the movie "Cool Hand Luke," with Paul Newman and supporting Oscar winner George Kennedy was a steel string acoustic guitar piece that was a knockout.
Many years later I thought Cavatina, the theme to "The Deer Hunter," with Robert Deniro and Christopher Walken, was wonderfully ...

Re: First Instro You Learned To Play Please
Dunno about that one. Maybe some studio guy with Glenn-Glenn Sound?
Duane Eddy's version was my first 45 RPM record. I was about ten years old and had a Kay electric single pickup model (with the generous 3/4 inch string clearance).
I searched out an oldies Duane Eddy CD and had forgotten there ...

Resurrecting an older thread here:
After 330 sixes and 12's, 325v64, 610, and an old beater 300 series that was mongrelized with a Gibson humbucker (shiver), and envying the 381's (oo-la-LAH), I decided on the sustain and 21 fret combination of the 620 for my #1. I went to get a '08 MG I saw but it ...
