Re: 12-string nuts and bridges
I finally got around to putting the Ricky sounds nut on my 2021. I’m liking it better than the 2008 and up (03327) String Nut. I’ll be replacing the newer Ric nut that I put on my 2002, with a Rickysounds nut soon. I’ve been using the Ernie Ball 40 to 8’s on this guitar for a while and now with the ...

Re: Ernie Ball 12-String 8-40 Gauge
Update- after various weather changes, the neck is super stable now. No problems with tuning stability either. This winter, I’ll switch the other 360/12 over to the same strings. I do like the way bends are easier when soloing. I was worried about the thin bass strings not have enough low end but a ...

Ernie Ball 12-String 8-40 Gauge
Has anyone tried the Ernie Ball 12-String Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, 8-40 Gauge (P02230), on their 12 string Ric? I just ordered a couple sets to try out. Been using the standard Rickenbacker set (10 to 46). I’ve used the 9 to 46 Ernie’s on my now departed, 12 string Stratocaster a...

Re: 12-string nuts and bridges
That’s how the RickySounds nuts come. You have to “finish” the slots to your guitar.

Re: 12-string nuts and bridges
I was messing around this past weekend with a brass nut that I bought for a six string from Axe Masters on reverb. I had to cut the octave slots myself. Since this was an experiment with a sacrificial nut, I started with a really close string pairing. When they were really close, they buzzed togethe...

Re: 12-string nuts and bridges
I copied this from my post in another thread. Hopefully this helps you. When I figure out how to get pics posted, I’ll do a thread on my 360/12 string nut endeavors. Ric changed the string spacing around 2008/2009. It makes the guitar way more playable. I bought a 2002 360/12 used and it was terribl...

Re: 2002 360/12 Turquoise Value: Semi-rare color?
Ric changed the string spacing around 2008/2009. It makes the guitar way more playable. I bought a 2002 360/12 used and it was terrible. Bought a RickySounds brass nut for it. Didn’t get installed before I bought a brand new, 2021 360/12. Night and day difference n playability. I did some more resea...
