In the original photo the guitar is leaning against a stand and the picture was taken from the back. Here's another photo that I hope will make it a little easier to make out the orientation. Please disregard the reflection in the back of the guitar.

The flaw is the light colored thin strip where ...

I called RIC today, and when the person on the phone asked me to describe the problem I didn't even get past telling him the model of guitar before he knew what it was because of this forum.

The level of customer service and dedication to their product is amazing. Thanks RIC.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. But I do want to point out that this thread was not my first post. I don't want you to think that my first post was about a problem.

I plan to call RIC tomorrow and I'll let you know what they say. Do you think it's out of line to ask them to send me a Midnight ...

Here's a picture of the finish flaw. It looks like a scratch but it's smooth and covered by the gloss finish.Image

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll call Rickenbacker and let you know what happens.

Paul, I read this forum pretty regularly and know that you're all a great bunch of people. After I saw your post I re-read mine and can see where your gut reaction could be that I was venting, although that wasn't ...

I did contact MF and they said I could return or exchange the guitar, but I intend to keep it since it plays so well. Since it just arrived yesterday I haven't registered it yet.

What would Rickenbacker be able to do about it if I contact them? I'll try to take a photo tonight and post it so you ...

Brand New 330 Finish Flaw

I just received a brand new 330 Jetglo that I bought through Musician's Friend. It was made in June-06.

It plays great and sounds amazing, but I was surprised to see that it has a finish flaw. It's on the lower horn where the side meets the back. That sharp edge has about a 2-inch long thin line ...

330 Neck vs. 360 Neck

Is there a difference in the neck profile on a 330 versus a 360? I recently played a used desert gold 330 at my local GC and it's neck feels like a baseball bat compared to my 360.

I think the desert gold color dates the 330 to 2001 (correct my if I'm wrong), and my 360 is a 2003. Has the neck ...
