Re: Searching for '76 Jetglo 4001 s/n PL7996
Hello All. I've received a message from a friend of mine earlier today saying a Jetglo 4001 with a JB pickup in the bridge position appeared on Facebook UK marketplace this morning. However, the listing seems to have disappeared and does not also appear under the 'Sold' category. I didn't get a noti...

Re: Flying with your Rickenbacker
Hi All, I'm going to be flying from California the London later this year for a tour and want to bring my Rick 12 with me. Neither Virgin Atlantic or British Airways will allow you to carry a hard shell case on an airplane-- you might be able to charm/argue your way onto the flight, but it's not li...

Re: Registry update question
That means that someone "rummaged" through websites and/or stores collecting data to add instruments to the register. I always thought (previous to learning this) that the owners of these instruments could add them to the register. You can 'own' an entry to the register if you become the ...

Re: Registry efficiency...
How does one get their Ric(s) entered into the registry? Go to the 'Rickenbacker Register' tab at the top of the page. Click on it and the register will open. Hover over the 'Register Menu' tab and choose 'Add New Record'. Then fill in the details and submit. This will then go for approval by the m...

Re: Rickenbacker.com has been offline recently
Its back (minus the forum).
Lots of missing items in the 'Legacy' section as well. But at least its up and running again. More content to come, I assume.

Re: Searching for '76 Jetglo 4001 s/n PL7996
So, its been six months since I started this search and still having no luck so far, although there have been a couple of near misses- a guitar shop in Germany recently sold PL7986 and the database here lists PL7998 as being located somewhere in Tennessee. Both of these were probably from the same p...

A similar question was asked on the Rick Resource Facebook page yesterday. Mods were alerted about the issue.

Re: Any Fretless Ric 4080 or Bass Manufactured, Want to Listen
Hello there, I want to know that is there any factory made fretless 4080 or other Fretless bass from Rickenbacker ? How they sounded ? I want to listen too much. Thank you, Mustafa Umut Sarac Istanbul Can't speak about 4080 or 4005 or any of the 20XX series as I have no useful knowledge of them but...

Re: Searching for '76 Jetglo 4001 s/n PL7996
Sorry to hear you haven’t found it yet. I had my first ever bass, a 1980 Rick 4001 in Jetglo, serial number TC915, stolen around 1986 from the band van in Hendon after a gig. Rather strangely, I’d also replaced the scratch plate (but not the trc) with a black one, so the bass looked just like yours...

Yeah, this is a great community, a wonderful place and a valuable resource but boy, the moderation is slow.
I get it though, people have families, lives and other interests. I've been there too. In fact, the last forum I moderated it was a full time job just keeping spammers at bay.

Re: Comments visible?
O.K., I see that now ... I checked my 450v63 JG listing, and it's the same for my comment there as well, I can see the comment only in the Edit page. Sort of a bummer, eh? :( Yep, seems kind of a pointless feature TBH. *EDIT- It seems that if an instrument is tagged as 'stolen' then the comment is ...

Re: Comments visible?
In registry listings. Each entry has a box for comments, in addition to the basic item information. Is this part of the listing not publicly visible?
I can only see the comment if I go to edit the entry, not when viewing the listing.

Comments visible?
Are comments that are added to an entry supposed to be publicly visible? Mine aren't.
