Would you mind comparing the tone of the red ones versus the green? I've heard so many people say the red ones have a hotter sound. My collection is currently in storage while I move into a new house. As I remember it, the red bars are coated metal and the green bars are Bakelite with lead centers....

Which width came first? The 1-1/2 inch magnet was used on the earliest frypan lap steel guitars as early as 1932. The 1-1/2 inch pickup his considered to be one of the best steel guitar pick ups ever made. I prefer it to the 1-1/4 inch. It was produced until sometime early during World War II. After...
