I love my Ric 4003 and am not too bothered by the crease on my arm from the binding, but I get unusually warm when I play, and I am a sweater, so I am intrigued about the wristband/armband suggestion. BTW, my forearm routinely stick to my Fenders, but not my Ric.
Now if I only can stop scratching ...

Ampeg svtdi direct stomp box?
Anyone have an opinion whether this DI pedal w/ a tube will warm up my sound? I'm playing a 2005 Ric 4003 through an ampeg b2re (solid state) & svt 410he.
I do not usually play bass w/ any pedals.
I think I have tube envy.

I love that bass and I've played at least 3 different jetglo 4001c64s' at the Music Zoo in Little Neck (Queens, NY but they're on the web) within the past year so perhaps it's not so rare. BTW, i believe they all sold for just under 2K.

This forum is absolutely terrific. I really appreciate everyone's input. I followed Charly's formula and so far everything sounds pretty good.

Problem with my Ampeg B2RE/SVT410E? Please help
I found that my 100 watt Ampeg BA115 sounded great with my Ric 4003 but I felt a little underpowered as when the lead guitarist on a puny little amp would seemingly overpower me on certain songs. Hence, I purchased an Ampeg B2RE & Ampeg SVT 410HE on craigslist. [I just couldn't afford MesaBoogie ...

In 1978 I bought a used Telecaster('72 or '73) and it came in a case that looks exactly like Andrew Winter's Ric case w/ that orange/red interior but w/ a Fender Badge on the outside. The Tele always bounced around too much - making me think that the case was purchased separately. I usually shove a ...
