Also, when wired in series, The RC in the neck ...

Re: 5 String Pickup Recommendations

Forumite ig55 tells he had the Barto Rick replacement pickup in the the bridge position of a 4004. But he did have a 4003 bridge cover over it.

Actually it had a 4003 route at the bridge position, so it was like installing the Bart on a 4003. All I had to do was to screw the pickup onto the ...

Re: After Market Pups

The Bart neck pickup is a split-coil (i.e a P pickup in a Rick cover). The bridge version is a dual-coil. It also comes with a 4-conductor lead so you can easily do coil splitting or series/parallel switching. I used it hardwired in series and it had a nice midrange bark. Not as bright as a higain ...

Thanks... And you got a nice CS over there...

The thumbrest's from Pickguardian. Made to vintage specs. Only 15 bucks, plus 7 bucks for shipping from US to Turkey. I grabbed it right away :)

Hehehe... Yes, I know they're for looks. I just wanted to see how ancient bass players felt like.

It arrived yesterday morning and I installed it immediately. I had a gig last night and tried to use it while picking. It was not very practical with a pick, as it was placed too below. It was OK while plucking with the thumb ...

Re: LALALALAbella

I have used the 760FM set (49-69-89-109) with my 4003 without any issues. After switching from 40-95 Daddario rounds to 49-109 LaBella flats, all I had to do was tighten the truss rods a little bit. Everything was just fine. And the sound was more than fine :)

Re: Question about push/pull pot for vintage tone cap.

It took a while for the Alpha 500K pot to arrive. I installed the P/P pot and the Orange Drop cap. It fitted with no problems. I just cut off the lip at the bottom and it was OK. Now I have both the capped and the uncapped sound from the HS pickup (happy me). Thank y'all for all the help provided :)

The album's also on i-tunes, for anyone who might be interested... :D
