Sorry about the gratuitous chest hair but it's the only action shot I've got.
A blues festival on the waterfront in a town called Gig Harbour. It was actually a competition culminating in one of the bands bieng sent to Memphis IIRC. My band didn't make it past the first round but it was a nice day ...

Re: Copping Squire with Sansamp VT Bass pedal?
I have their Tri-A.C. - it's a guitar or bass pedal and you can save three presets - I find it works excellent for aggressive grind.
I love the edge Tech 21 products put on a direct-recorded sound - it's excellent.
The playing is very sloppy, so please don't beat me up too much. I made that riff ...

Re: That 'Fresh String' Sound
I always wash my hands before playing, then put rubbing alcohol on them. It helps a little, but my sweat is corrosive to that new-string-sound, so they still go dead! Part of the reason why for the most part I'm switching to flatwounds...

Re: Feeling rather deflated...
I love the sound of Roto's but since I've had my rick I've gone through a couple of sets and the E string has been wierd sounding (both fretted and open) on each of them. I just recently put on a set of high beams and the diferance is incredible. I definetely agree on the twisted string thing as ...

Re: Treble Pickup Bezel
It's solid, and thick enough to where you could make a divit with a dremel tool and you'd be good. I don't think it changes the sound in any way. If it does it's because I can finally pick right over the top of the bridge pickup and that changes the sound in and of itself. On a side note I just put ...

Re: Treble Pickup Bezel
I'm not exactly sure you can rest your thumb on it. A: there's not a lot of surface area there and B: the angle is all wrong. You have to have something to rest your thumb on top off, like the E string or the top of the pickup itself. Basically there's nothing to push down on if you put your thumb ...

Re: Treble Pickup Bezel
Glen - Thanks for the review! I have a couple of questions about it, if you don't mind. How stable is the bezel when you rest your thumb on it? Can you feel it moving at all?
Well, you can push it in if you want but it takes some pressure. Nothing you'd do normally. Once it's all in place it's ...
