I've used Roto 77s and Pyramid flats, both are known to be of the higher tension variety. Never a problem with my 1993 4003S or my 2009 4003.

I installed one on my '09 4003 MG. I went with the standard, don't really any place for my thumb based on how I play. I did have the original black one with the thumb rest, but never rested my thumb there anyway. Really finishes the look!

Where I live, there are a lot of Amish. Superb hands-on craftsman and artisans. But everything they make from quilts to furniture has an intentional built-in flaw, as in their eyes, only god is perfect. Perhaps JH is Amish?
