Darren, what you say about accompanied baggage when traveling is interesting. I've been fortunate enough to travel to the States on hols a couple of times and both times I brought guitars back with me. I thought the new undeclared limit was AU$900 per person? I've always been under that amount ...

Wow, the plot thickens. The info I got from customs initially was quite specific about avoiding other shipping methods other that USPS.

It's been a funny experience; I was surprised to find how helpful customs in Brisbane were when it came to me completing the relevant forms to have the guitar ...

Hi

This one's primarily for the Aussies.

I'm in the final stages of having a Ric imported from the States. It cost me US$1195 and I paid US$95 for shipping with ...

450 v 620

Hi

I’m thinking of getting a 450 and would like to know how they compare to other solid Rics. I have a nice ’79 360/12 which is a great 12 string guitar, but I’m looking for a solid Ric 6. I know the 620s are in ...

John

Thank you. This is the info I've been chasing. I saw some pics of set neck electros and noticed that the heel wasn't flush but wasn't sure if that was typical of Rics with set necks as well or just electros. Anyway, thanks again; I won't have any trouble telling the difference now. Come to ...

450 set necks

Hi

I'm trying to work out how to distinguish between 450s with set necks as opposed to through necks. On mapleglos its fairly straight forward but for jetglos and other darker finished 450s, is there any noticeable difference in the way the neck heel joins the body that give visual cues to what ...
