As you all know, Ricks can be quite different from era to era. Greg's seems to be a fairly early 1-pc guard 4003 (my main template is from a late 90's). Either way we'll take care of Greg, especially since he is sending his original!

The 5-way 350 project was done for Rick Fass. He said to pass along his email to anyone that had a question. His email is: [email protected]. My personal favorite rewire on a 3-pickup model is to wire the blend knob as a middle pickup volume control.

I have 5 different golds that I work with. The most commonly used is the "Gold Dust Metallic" which matches many of the reissues. Rickenbacker recently switched to a more vintage-correct Brassy Gold. If you have a TRC to match, you can send it in with your order and I'll try to match it. The raised ...

"Real deal" material is extremely difficult to find. The closest I have found (and use) is Acrylite by CYRO. Thirty-some years of aging makes a big difference, too. One trick I have used is to spray white (or off-white) lacquer on the back of modern material to increase opacity without making it ...

I make both split guards for early 4003's and a 2 pc. to 1 pc. conversion. My hurricane donation is just the right thing to do!

Thanks,

My eyes were closed in the photo to prevent blindness from seeing so many great Rickenbackers in one place! It was great talking and jamming with all of you. Thanks for the great ideas (true vintage finger-rests are coming soon)! Next time we need more guitarists; maybe even a drummer.

Jim,

I'd be happy to replace the guard set if you want to send me the originals to duplicate. As you all know, there is sometimes a great deal of variation on Rickenbackers, even from one year to the next. My templates are based on actual Rick guards whenever possible and should fit most models ...

There was some discussion last week on Signature guards and oven knobs. The signature on the guards is a precision cut vinyl transfer. I can custom drill any of my Rick guards to accommodate oven knobs.

I figured it was about time I started contributing to the Forum! Has anyone contacted Chris at Pick of the Ricks and/or Mike at the Rickenbacker Page for vendor presence?

I noticed some talk about having celebs attend. I'd like to add Peter Buck from REM and (a longshot) Paul Weller to my ...

Check out Southwest for cheap flights to Columbus. They are one of the few airlines to still have a hub here.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all in person!
