My october 1969 21-fret 4001 definitely is "The one"! Check it out. I believe it is still in the Register.

Looks right to me, but 1966? I think 1968 is more like it.

Well, RIC discontinued those some time in 1973, right? However it shouldn't be too hard to find an original one, failing which you can always have a new one made from scratch.
