Re: Ricks in the Movies

Tim,

I like your profile pic - this nearly made me laugh out loud.
Is it a vintage Ken doll?

Re: What drew you to Rickenbacker?

A few things: 1) the look - certain models (like the 4003) have such a great character to them. It's hard to explain without ranting, but they just look great & unique. 2) Paul McCartney 3) I played in a group with admin for a while, and exposure to his enthusiasm about the brand played a part.

Re: Corporate Ricks

OC Choppers has zero brand identity of its own --- Rickenbacker has 80 year's worth. Cranking out "one-offs" for corporations is what OC Choppers does . That IS their brand identiy --- Rickenbacker is doing just fine.[/quote] I hope my post didn't come off as though I was "dissing&quo...

Re: Who Tweets?

I, myself do not have a twitter account. It's interesting.... a few years back I sat in a room full of about 30 people and the presenter asked everyone this question: "who in here would give your banking information to anyone who asked"? Maybe 10 people raised their hands. After that, the ...

Re: Corporate Ricks

Neat, thanks. Logo is pretty small, though. Has anyone done anything more "out there" like freaky colours or custom pictures?

Corporate Ricks

Seeing that corporations have ordered "novelty" motorcycles in the past... the kind of thing you see on Orange County choppers, has there been any instances of a custom ordered Rick to represent a corporation?

I remember seeing football teams Epiphones (I think) a few years back.

2 Canadian Rick Artists with New Albums

Both Sloan & Sam Roberts have new albums out (released on the same day). Not sure how much Ricks are used on either of these, but Sloan "The Double Cross" is definitely worth a listen. Not sure how I feel about Sam's new record "Collider" though. http://www.sloanmusic.com htt...
