Has anybody else tried Higains in a 4004? I have a 4003/4004 hybrid project that may start, and just wondering how much of the 4003 higain sound is due to the massive great hole in the body, and all that heavy duty mounting hardware! I've done a couple of bridge position higain mods, whereby I shove...

Anybody know what became of the 4001s that belonged to Lemmy, as seen in the Ric Video, (at approx 2'53"). Or indeed - any more of it's history?

Why bother with the SD "signature" pickups? Insofar as I know, Lemmy himself doesn't use them - he uses HB1 pickups, so fit those instead, if you want to replicate his sound (and they're cheaper!) I have HB1s in the bridge position (with push/pull coil tap on the tone control) on both my 4...
