'75 430 guitar

I've never even knew these existed until today. I guess it was the companion to the 3000 series bass? Has anyone ever plugged one of these in before?

'68 Rickenbacker 4001 Fireglo in Toronto

Price is a little on the high side but it sure looks sweet and the sound blows my 4001 c64s away!

Man, I can't wait to see the next step in this conversion. Rickenbacker "bass porn" at it's finest!
Keep up the good work!

Re: Maxima/Rickenbacker NOS bass strings

You could try a set of Optima 4099. I guess you seen that thread on those already?
Side by side on two different basses, they are so close to Maxima that I couldn’t see, feel, or hear much difference.

Wow, you know I did buy a set of the Optima 4099 strings a few months ago and guess I assumed ...

Anyway, if anyone has a NOS set of Maximas (McCartney kind)they're looking to sell, I'd definitely be interested.

Re: Maxima/Rickenbacker NOS bass strings

The blanked out begining of my last response looks ALOT worse than what I actually said by the way.

Re: Maxima/Rickenbacker NOS bass strings

Oh well, I guess I was a little late. Hopefully another set will come up soon.
The TI's are good and all for the time being, but it would be nice to find the real mccoy. Thanks for the replys though.

Re: "Smokin" CS Bass on Ebay

Hmmm. I bet if people didn't know what caused the discoloration, this "custom colour" may have received more than a few complements.
Just sayin'.

4001c64's in Canada.

Does anyone out there know of a Canadian retailer that stocks C series Rickenbackers, preferably the 4001c64 bass?
Thanks!
