Thanks for a quick answer. Yes the truss-rod cover is black. Unfortunately the Badass was there when I got the bass. The original bridge wasnt included.
Got the pickup sorted now so the tape is removed.
I got the bass for $200 20 years ago.

I have a 4001 from 1976, all black. Black body, pickguard and bindings. I have been seraching for pics or info but not found much. Does anybody here know more about this?
