Well I just accidentally (pun intended) put a dent in my fairly new 4003MG. A small round area about 1/2 inch across. Can I use something to seal it and keep dirt and sweat out of the cracked finish? Polyurethane? I mainly don't want the dent to get dark colored with age and show up against the ...

The bass has only had the original stock strings on it. What you see in the pictures is no strings/no tension. It's brand new and only played for a couple hours total.
