That was very enjoyable, Miguel. And what a fine tribute to Chris.
He would have been honored with your work.
You did a fine job with the bass.
Thank you!

Re: bass clip - To Be Over
Wonderful work, as always, Miguel! (I watched it over on YouTube and came over here to comment.) Your videos always blow me away and by your playing I can always tell that the magic starts with the accuracy of your ears. This video really makes that even more clear than usual. And for your first bas...

Thank you so much, Miguel!
That was wonderful! Once again you have helped me better understand and appreciate Chris' genius.
(By the way...your holiday in Portugal: is it St. Elizabeth's feast day?)

Re: #playforChris2
Thank you, Jim. That was a nice read. Without a doubt, the dynamic has changed. His presence was huge and the hole he left will never be filled. I had a similar experience when i saw the band last summer. But nonetheless, I still am pulled to see the remaining members whenever possible, no matter wh...

Re: #playforChris2
Very nice, Miguel! I am of course impressed when well-known musicians SAY that Chris was a pioneer and a huge influence. It really is true and that recognition is important. But perhaps nothing illustrates Chris' influence more than something like this video...it shows that Chris motivated and conti...

A very nice piece to honor the man. Thank you, Miguel. And no pick. Had Chris mentioned this piece as being fingerstyle or did you simply deduce his approach via the tone of the bass in the track? I celebrated his birthday by going camping. For over 30 years I have made "Fish Out of Water"...

Re: Help needed for one of my videos (Chris' 8-Strings)
This probably doesn't help much but here is an article about the technical side of their 1979 shows...and it mentions the Ranney.

Re: Help needed for one of my videos (Chris' 8-Strings)
Finally remembered to dig out the 9012Live DVD last night, and it wasn't in there after all. I'll keep looking at my other DVDs as I know it was there in more modern times….unless he had a later production 4008? The one I recall was white with black binding on the body. I think he only had the prot...

Re: SeYes Close To The Edge audience footage
Very well done!
I am quite impressed. I was especially happy with the vocals, both lead and backing. That is no small achievement.
Excellent!
SeYes...INDEED!
Thank you!

Another wonderful project, Miguel! I love to see the 8-string in action.
(I watched this on your site yesterday--I was there to watch your "Lucky Seven" a zillion times so that I could try to learn it.)
Thank you!!

Re: bass clip - Lucky Seven
Miguel!
Two questions:
>How is the Jazz bass build coming along?
>Any chance you might consider making a tutorial video for "Lucky Seven"? I would love to learn this but my first two attempts trying to follow you had me missing quite a few notes.
Thanks!

Re: Run With The Fox
Listened to the whole Swiss Choir CD Saturday on a road trip to a pre-Christmas get togther with some friends. Got kinda choked up hearing Chris' vocal solo in "silent night/night of silence",really missing him. Yup. I ended up crying too...the wife saw me later and was incredulous...&quo...
