The new Gram Parsons documentary, called Fallen Angel (by Gandulf Henning) has portions of a clip of the Byrds in Europe (early music video) doing, yet again, Mr. Spaceman, but with Parsons and Doug Dillard in the line-up. Pretty wierd....

Oh, OK. The 360JG is located at Trade-Up Music in Portland. The phone number is 503-236-8800. They are good people; I had them rewire my '68 366/12, and they did a great job.

$1150 seems just a bit high to me, but with the toasters on it, it is probably worth it. It is in excellent condition, and ...

Hi Sean - a guitar shop in Portland, OR has a 2002 (I believe) 360JG with toasters, which are evidently stock, for $1150. It is otherwise a newer 360JG.

I asked about the taosters, and they indicated it is a limited edition, but I think it is either after-market, or a special order. Any ideas ...

Gil: I have been away, so I didn't see your question until this morning. I have no idea if it weakens the guitar. This modification was done at least 10 years ago, as this guitar had been on one rack or another at shops around Oklahoma City for at least that long.

It looks to me that this guitar ...

At some point several years ago, a previous owner of the 1968 366 I have 'modified' the headstock to look just like a 2005 Rickenbacker 12 string headstock.

It is much easier to string, and the people I play music with don't seem to care whether the headstock is routed or not when they ask me to ...

It was "Hard Day's Night" for me, too.

Brian - Les Fleur De Lys is a band I am quite fond of, what band were you in that shared a manager with them?

I saw the bangles on an afternoon video show (that originated from Los Angeles) in spring 1983, on which the EP was promoted.

I ordered it from Singles Going Steady (record store) in Portland that day. Great record, but I think their first proper album is their best.

In the recent MOJO Magazine special about Progressive Rock, there is an article about Yes, including a picture of Howe's guitar selection on stage with a 330/12. Peter Banks also talks about throwing his Rickenbacker at a recording engineer.

Additionally, the booklet included with the box set Yes ...

Hi Paul, I emailed you.

Steve, thanks for the link to the picture. I have been a Byrds fan since the early seventies, and I have never seen pictures of a rewired Jetglo 12 string. I have a 1968 Jetglo 12 string, so I am happy to see that picture.

As far as the 5D interview insert goes, I have ...

5D

Does anybody have/know where to find the interview questions for the 5D open ended interview? They were either on the sleeve, or on an insert with the original record.

Also, in the CD booklet there is a picture of The Byrds onstage, in which Crosby is playing what appears to be a 325.

Cheers

4. Sweetheart of the Rodeo

I used to have a boot that had two (or three) takes of 'Turn, Turn, Turn' before vocal tracks had been added, that you guys may want to keep an eye out for.
