That's exactly what I'm thinking, Why change it? Why bother making the horn thinner? What's the purpose?

Re: When did they stop making the 4001?
I wouldn't be all the concerned about the necks. Would that little but make that much of a difference?
Also, with the little things like that and the thinner horn, is there any purpose from RIck's point of view?

Re: When did they stop making the 4001?
In my opinion the differences in the 4001 and 4003 don't seem like enough to consider them 2 different models. :? you be on meds, boy ! :? side by side, there are many differences depending on the years compared. you just have to look at each part or body construction and compare. (then you'll come...

I absolutely love blue ricks. Any of the blues are great looking, the only color I like better is white. Awesome bass you've got there, i'm certainly jealous

Re: Rickenbacker the latest rage with the kids?
Brock, if you can get the serial number and a pic or two from the guy, register it on the RIckenbacker Registry (link at top right of pages) as stolen. We've already aided in recovering a couple stolen basses. I'll have to ask him for the serial number next time I talk to him. I hope he gets it bac...

Re: Rickenbacker the latest rage with the kids?
Brock, welcome to the RRF. Start saving your money and making it at any odd job you can get. Before you know it you'll have enough to buy one of those Ricks off the spoiled rich kids when they get bored and move on to the next thrill. In my experience, much sooner than later, and I'd guess they don...
