Re: So I'm in Berkeley the other day...
I got the Bari a couple weeks ago, and I have been playing the funk out of it. Its tuned A to A, the neck is super straight due to the dual steel bars running down it, and, despite a little mail tumbling, she was ready to go right out the box. Here are a few pics:

Re: Which guitar cable???
I did some side by sides with some buddies after I purchased a couple 10 and 20$ specials from GC, george L 15 fters, and a Bullet Coily. The live wires and the no namers alike in a studio setting definitely effect volume and the upper clarity. To my friends ears, without them knowing which cable ...

Re: Amp question
its a trick on your ear, not your fault. A quick google search led to a bunch of sites saying basically the same thing: "what you are hearing is not louder but more distorted." A tube amp can sound up to 12 db louder than an undistorted ss amp. I've often wondered myself why a 40 watt tube sounded ...

Hondo Revival H935 for the more jazzy soundtracks with mini-humbuckers. really warm
Yamaha 912 is my workhorse guitar. If nothing else fits or I am noodling around, I reach for this guitar. the compound radius neck is a joy to play. this guitar keeps me from ever having ...

Re: Upwell collaboration
The bass sounds great, but it is a little in front of the mix. I'm guessing that's due to the way it was all recorded, but damn it sounds bad ***. I don't mind a bass sounding like that out in front.

Never heard of Veillette's guitars, but that smoke finish is lovely. Taste is something I have in abundance. The bankroll to supply the delicious meal? Not so much.

and I tell my friend I am on a quest to find a baritone guitar. I don't want one of these hellcats or mushok firewood guitars that so many seem to be content with. After all, I am a man of taste or I wouldn't be on this forum, no? My friend says there is this crazy guy named Fat Dog who constructs ...

Re: 30 Post rule. Really??
This thread made me lol a few times. Welcome to all the new folk! I found the RRF late in my searcj for my second ric. 3 months in and then another 3 after I had all this new lit to comb through before I ended up buying new, and I would recommend most to do the same. The marketplace is for those of ...
