Hi Werner,
I was also thinking of ordering a JB2 (or what for the Ltd Ed. thereof), but why do you need a power unit for them? (I don't know nothing about these, or any other, units).
Thanks,
Kees

Re: Ordering New Ric...
Indeed, there is a back log of over two years at RIC. Nevertheless, there are plenty new 330/12's around on the internet (and maybe also on this forum).
Have a nice search,

Re: Want a free 330/360
I would chose a 360/6 JG and I wouldn't even want it new: it should be a model from 1985-1991. I would even trade my 360/6 CW ltd ed JG for it.
Best wishes,
Kees

Re: Flatwound Strings
I have also had Pyramid flatwounds on a 360V64/12 and I hated them. Only a muffled sort of 'thumb, thumb' coming out of the wound strings. I immediately switched back to the compressed round wounds from Rick and will stick to those. I subsequently sold two remaining packs of new Pyramids to the lead...

Re: What about a Ric 330 as first Ric
A 330 is a wonderful Rick, first, last or somewhere in the middle. It may be somewhat cheaper than a 360 or so, but that's just got to do with woodwork and finishing but not with sound. Comparing 330's you get small tone differences and also among 360's and between 330's and 360's, but these are MIN...

Re: Tuner Problems
Try to unwind it and take the string out entirely (if you are actually able to do so). They you can (1) check whether the tuning machinery by itself (without string) functions properly and you can (2) fit the string in the nut to see whether or not it fits too snugly. In either case, it is important...

Re: Tuner Problems
Is the G string (!) properly wound around the tuner? Can it move freely through the nut?

Rick's and Fender hot rod deluxe
Hi guys, I just got a nice, used Fender hot rod deluxe (40 W, full tube). Great depth and full ringing sounds. It works wonderfully with all my Rick's (higains and VP's, 6- en 12-string). There is a treble boost knob which, combined with the 'presence' option, provide me with a sound that almost con...

Re: The 360 body shape: has it changed again?
For me, they even have a different 'feel'. I own an 360 MG, a 360/12 BG and a 360 CW Ltd Ed. JG (which is for sale) with the pointy cutaway type and an older 360 FG (1991) with the rounder type. The latter one clearly looks different (and more balanced) to me. It is, however, also the 'hand-made cha...

Re: The 360 body shape: has it changed again?
And another example below. The right one is an FG from 2009, the other one is probably 1-2 years earlier, but it does already have the full-width inlays (when were these re-introduced?):

Re: The 360 body shape: has it changed again?
But how do I post this picture? Ah, I just read the instructions (well done, Kees!). The 1997 shape of the upper cutaway was typical for the post 1991 360's. Before that, they are rounder, just like the 2010 version(s). I like the new (=actually old) shape, btw. Kees

The janglebox society: JB or JB2?
Hi guys,
I have heard a lot of good stuff on the JB's, but did anyone ever get the change to compare the JB to the JB2? And?
Best wishes,
Kees

The 360 body shape: has it changed again?
Hi guys, I have been away for a while and maybe this issue has been discussed previously, but I wondered if anyone has noticed, like I did, that the 360 shape has changed in 2010. Post-1991 models clearly have a more pointy upper cutaway (the big one) than pre-1991 models (I did not like this change...

Re: Rickenbackers for sale in the Dutch marketplace
Hi RIC-lovers, I have my 360 Carl Wilson Ltd Ed JG 6-string (#44) for sale in The Netherlands. You can find it at www.marktplaats.nl. Let me know if you're interested. I'd consider a trade with a pre-1991 360/6 JG (regular, intact) or (shhhhh) a big Gretsch. I would like to sell this one because I l...
