Re: "Website Not Secure" message prior to logging in....

Ha ha, it's not the s that makes it secure, the website has to have secure encryption before it will respond to a call from adding https://.

For example, if you add an s before the rick forum address the link fails.

Re: "Website Not Secure" message prior to logging in....

I don't think it's ever been secure - ie use https:// before the site address. However, it's only recently (and due to all the web scamming and keylogging that goes on these days) that the software you use to access the web as a whole has started to include checks that advise you if a site does not ...

Re: Yes - Symphonic Live - 720p

I loved that tour, one of the best concert's i've been to. I got hauled out the auditorium though for filming/videoing Close To The Edge, i never really thought about the implications. Got back in 5 mins later although they took the camera off me for the rest of the concert. Still have the footage t...

Re: Buying on the Internet

Are you prepared to purchase from the UK? Maybe these guys have one - at least they say 3-5 days. http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Rickenbacker_4003_Midnight_Blue_Bass_Guitar/RICK-504003MID Alternatively, there are many other retailers, small and large, in the UK that have them advertised on their si...

Re: rickenbacker 4003 bass

Welcome Mark. As CJ says above, when to change strings is totally down to player preference and the sound you wish get from your bass. If you have never changed the strings before, and it's two years since you've heard the sound of new strings, then perhaps i can give you an idea of what to expect i...

Well done Paul. Really looking forward to getting it.

It's already available for pre-order on Amazon UK, really nice to see it's getting an international distribution.

Re: Mom & Pop Music Stores In The UK

I have to agree that price is becoming king. I myself made my most recent guitar purchase from what I could see was the cheapest and most reputable seller I could find on the net. It was still from a “Mom and Pop” outfit in the UK so arguably I’m still supporting the small independents, just not the...
